Potential Issues |
Studies have shown that farm raised fish have high levels of carcinogenic chemicals called PCBs and outside of the U.S., antibiotics and pesticides are used. In addition to PCBs and antibiotics, the fish escape all of the time in to open water. After the fish escape, they colonize with the wild fish and pass their genes on. Because the fish were fed by humans since birth, they have no idea how to fend for themselves and find their own food so they starve. But not before they pass their genes on to their kin, making them go through the same process.
